In the Pre-K classroom will continue to go over the letters of the alphabet and our numbers. We are starting to blend letter sounds to make words. Some of the children have picked up on this very quickly. We will be learning the letters O, P, Q, R, S AND T. The children will learn how to make these letters and the sounds they make and using the Socratic Method the children will "buzz" words that begin with these letters. You would be surprised how well the do with this concept.
In math, we will be going over the numbers 6, 7, and 8. They will be shown how to make each of these numbers and the amount they represent. We are understanding the term "sequencing". We have started to add two numbers together and do a little subtraction too.
In the month of March, the school is having a Science, Health and Wellness Fair . Pre-K 3and 4 will making a mural and other art projects to demonstrate what they know about dinosaurs. Wait till everyone sees what our little ones can do with a little guidance.
The fair will be on March14th.
