Physical Education Procedures and Expectations
Come prepared for each class!
PreK 3/4 and K - wear sneakers
Grades 1 and 2 – change of clothes and sneakers in a gym bag
Grades 3 and 4- school required physical education uniform, sneakers in a gym bag
(Please write students name on all of their belongings)
In addition to the above each students should bring a positive attitude so that they can try their hardest!
All students will walk when entering the gym!
Locker Room Rules
- Dress in 7 minutes or less, before and after class.
- Organize all belongings in a basket or locker.
- Use inside voices and always behave properly.
- Pick up litter and dispose of properly.
- No slamming lockers.
- Take all of your belongings when leaving and bring any other items left behind and find the owner or give them to the teacher.
- In case of a fire, get dressed quickly, quietly, and exit immediately!
No jewelry, hard hair clips, or headbands allowed, if they are worn they should be left the locker room. Perhaps in a shoe so when changing this will help ensure they are not forgotten when leaving.
When necessary, a written excuse from a parent or doctor must be brought in. This allows the student to not participate in class and the student will not be marked unprepared. If the student has been under doctor’s care for an injury or illness, a doctor’s note is necessary for removal from participation, as well as to return to play; otherwise a parent’s note is sufficient.
