"What's New in Grade 2?

Your child received information about a science project that will be due on March 9th. Although this due date is a few weeks away, I thought that some families may want to use some time next week to read over the project, rubric, and start to plan out some ideas. 2^nd Graders will be constructing shoebox dioramas of animal biomes. This group of students really seems to enjoy animals so I thought this topic would be quite enjoyable for all of us. Should any questions arise, please feel free to email me during break. I always check my email regularly.

Gym cloths and art smocks have been sent home so that they can be washed over the February break. Please make sure that clothes are returned when school resumes on Monday, Feb. 27^th. I hope you and your family have a restful week off. I look forward to sleeping in, reading, and enjoying some family time. When we return, our furry little hamster will be waiting to meet all of us. Our first task at hand will be to vote on a suitable name for him. Hopefully our new friend will make it a little easier to return back from break!
