While I do not grade children when I work with them one on one, in small groups, or in whole group situations, I support the grading policies of the child's teacher.
I also help support the accommodations and modifications needed to be in compliance with a child's IEP or 504.
Librarian:
Library is an ungraded course. I do, however, teach skills needed for usage of the library for both pleasure and research.
Students do complete work in the library that correlates with their ELA coursework and grade level standards, as well as the Study Skill Curriculum.
Often the work students complete in the Library is graded by their classroom teacher since the assignments are closely coordinated with and correlated to the classroom curriculum.
