Dear St. Andrew's Families,
February is flying by. In fact, I can't believe how fast the school year is going! The Black and Gold Knight Gala was a tremendous success. It was so nice to see so many people enjoying themselves. Annette Fiorella and her committee did another outstanding job! Thank you to everyone who participated in any way. It's because of you that St. Andrew's is an outstanding school.
The January Open House was also a huge success. We have already received registration forms for next year. Just yesterday I enrolled two new families to the school with children in grades six and seven. We welcome you to our "family." Our next Open House will be held on Wednesday, February 29th from 6:30-8:00 pm. For our families with children in the Pre-k program, I encourage you to come and meet the faculty, staff and parents, who would be more than willing to explain to you our programs in Kindergarten and the rest of the grade levels. There will be a financial aid table to answer any questions you may have about affordability for your child's continued education here at St. Andrew's. If you are able to help in any way, please contact me or Sue Daniels.
Our mid-winter break is the week of February 20-24, so there will be no school. Ash Wednesday falls on February 22nd. This, of course, is the beginning of Lent. Lent is a time of prayer, almsgiving and penance. I encourage all families to go to church to receive ashes, as this is our penitential preparation for Holy Week and then Easter Sunday.
Thank you for your continued support of St. Andrew's Country Day School.
God bless.
