CLIMATE COMMITTEE
“THE WAY TO BEE”
ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Climate Committee is committed to The “Way to Bee” Program for Grades Pre-K through Grade 4. They recite the WAY TO BEE pledge as a part of the beginning of the school day announcements. Whenever a teacher spots a positive behavior the student is rewarded with a Honeygram. These Honeygrams (paper coupons) are then placed in a class bucket. We have a weekly drawing for small rewards for one student in each homeroom. We also have monthly assemblies in which we recognize the total number of positive behaviors each class has achieved. During the monthly reward assembly, one student in each homeroom will have their name randomly drawn from the Honeygram bucket to win a prize. But you have to be in it to win it. At this time the students listen to Words of Wisdom from the Project Wisdom Program to help students make wiser choices.
We ask at this time, for any parent or company to help us with donations or funding for this program. Our prizes range from $1 and under for the weekly prizes to $5 for the monthly prizes. This year, we sponsored a $1 dress down day in November to help cover our costs.
The climate Committee thanks you for your continued support.
